Walkers raise money for Hospice

Hospice Auxiliary members gathered at the starting point of the sponsored Walk-A-Thon waiting for the “go” signal. Following a carefully planned route through the Glade, the walkers completed the first of this annual fundraiser under sunny skies.

VFW looking for a few good young writers 
Conducted nationwide, the VFW-sponsored Patriots’ Pen youth essay competition gives sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students an opportunity to write essays expressing their views on democracy with the prospect of winning U.S. savings bonds. Home school students are eligible to compete.
